It's launched! Announcing Kids & Toddlers Fun Animals Coloring Book for sale on amazon. This was a fun one. I feel like it's a little different than others that I've seen because the animals are cute but are not super cartoonish. Anyway, I hope some little guys and gals have fun with it.

I started on my new book, "I Love Mermaids" and am loving the work. I feel an affinity for the flowing shapes of the underwater plants. Also, illustrating mermaid hair is the best. A while back, though, I noticed an explosion of "toddler" coloring books on amazon. I started working on some animal shapes that are really simple and bold. I find a lot of what's out there looks a little too cartoon-y for my taste (although I do love an animal with some cute chibi eyes). To me a good coloring book for a toddler should teach them what the animal really looks like but still be fun. Anyway, because the mermaids are so detailed and I know it's going to take me a while to do enough illustrations to make a nice book, I took a slight reprieve and took up my toddler illustrations. I think I'll have this book done in the next week or so! My sweet nephew who just turned two is my inspiration. This ones for you baby G.
