Welcome to Scandinavia! In this book I wanted to explore some of my favorite themes and shapes in a more deliberate way. The pattern and repetition that can be found in Scandi folk art can be a fun way to explore color and also make beautiful coloring pages. I also wanted to create a book that had fairly easy shapes to color and featured a heavier more distressed line. The line texture is pretty subtle but I think makes a difference in the finished work. You can check my instagram for examples of colored pages (@jenracinecoloring). The book ended up being a little bird heavy (ha, ha) but they were my favorite animal to illustrate in this style. I've also included a squirrel (another favorite), fox, bear and horse along with some florals. This book has some similarities with Time to Hygge but has exclusively a nature theme. It also is somewhat similar to Woodland Wonder but less cute. This artwork is perfect for this kind of relaxing, stress-free (or de-stressing) coloring! I had a lot of fun with this one and hope you enjoy this artwork.
