Do you know what "Hygge" (sounds like hue-guh) is? It's the Danish word for acknowledging a feeling or a moment of cozy contentment and well-being. This feeling is typically found by enjoying the simple things in life like warm socks, a cozy sweater, a sleepy pet or a hot cup of good coffee or tea. I absolutely love all of these things and with the changing of the season, it felt like the perfect time to embrace these thoughts with some cozy illustrations. This is sort of my "adulting" version of my last book, Woodland Wonder. These pictures were really fun to draw and I tried to give a good examples of all the things that bring meaning to HYGGE. Time to Hygge is 25 pages of simple joys like house plants (I'm currently kind of obsessed), sleepy dog and cat, tea and coffee, candles, firelight, sweaters, socks, books, needlepoint, knitting and a good dose of Scandinavian design motifs. I hope it brings you joy and happiness during this holiday season. Happy Coloring!
