Time to revisit (ha ha) the National Parks! I did a national parks coloring book in early 2019 that has done quite well. It features the 24 most visited parks of the USA. I love this book but I've always wanted to come back and add onto it. This new book is similar in some ways but a departure from that original style.
Let's Go! All the National Parks Adventure Coloring Book is has map-based illustrations featuring plants, animals and sites that you would see at each 63 parks. Yes...this book has ALL 63 parks! There are actually 61 individual park pages and two pages that have two parks per page because they are so close or conjoined (as is the case with Sequoia and Kings Canyon). I imagined this book as a kind of road trip. I mean...that's how most of us see these places, right? In the case of a few parks in Alaska and places like the Dry Tortugas, they are only accessible by airplane or boat (amazing!). I researched each park and chose the animals that I thought were most representative of what is found there. There are, of course, many, many more animals and plants than what I included. This is just to give you a flavor of the park. I also included one (on a couple pages there are two) of the most iconic sights/sites at the park. This was also a bit tricky because some parks have multiple. I tried to choose the thing that most people see or remember from the park. This book is a great way to familiarize yourself with all of the national treasures that are in the US park system. I hope it brings happiness to young and old alike and inspires us all to get out there and see national parks! Sample pages below. xo Jen |
