 Love your veg? I do too! This book is for anyone who is curious about their favorite vegetables. We are backyard gardeners and love to eat and grow interesting varieties of vegetables. It's truly amazing to see how many are available especially if growing from seed. I was inspired by my own garden, my husbands love of perusing seed catalogs and trying to incorporate more vegetables into our diet. And vegetables come in such interesting shapes and colors that they make gorgeous subjects.
This book was a pleasure to illustrate because I looked at many kinds of vegetables and learned a lot of interesting facts about each. This is not a comprehensive guide as there are many more varieties in some vegetables than could be contained on one page. I purposefully laid out each page so that you have a variety of color represented versus every variety. This kind of coloring book is a bit different than your typical because it is informational/educational. It's helpful to look up the veg you are coloring on the web for reference and an extra bonus because you will most likely learn something new through this process! I envisioned this book as a handy reference and inspiration for other gardeners and vegetable lovers. It could also be good for kids to learn about where in the world their favorite vegetables originate from and be inspired to try some new ones.
