A new "little" book! I'm calling this my pandemic inspiration book. I hope that this little book brings a smile to someone out there who needs it.
I feel like I was meant to do this book because of fourth grade. I was in a small-ish town in Canada and we had a teacher (Mr. D) who gave everyone in the class nicknames. We had to use these names always and were not allowed to use our actual names under any circumstance. Yes, my nickname was Rainbow for an entire year of school. Kind of wild. I really embraced drawing that year and yes, there was a whole lot of singing every day with Mr. D's acoustic guitar. I don't think I learned much math or grammar but I guess some of the "different" of that learning has stuck with me. And here we are...when we need rainbows again. I don't know about you but I need all the encouragement I can get. I wanted to do a smallish book (8.5" square) for a while because I think this size is so cute and practical. Just easy, peazy pages with simple, bold artwork. I envision this being a book you can give a friend to let them know you are thinking about them. This artwork is not complicated to color and is a combination of short illustrated quotes and simple rainbow inspired illustrations. Happy Coloring, Friends! Love, Rainbow |
